The Fiat CR.42 Falco was an Italian biplane fighter developed by Fiat Aviazione in the late 1930s.
It was the last biplane fighter to enter front-line service with the Regia Aeronautica (Italian Air Force) and was used extensively during World War II.
Despite being outclassed by faster monoplane fighters, the CR.42 was highly maneuverable and praised for its structural strength.
It saw combat in multiple theaters, including the Battle of Britain, North Africa, and the Eastern Front.
