Caproni Ca.127

In the mid-1930s, Caproni engineers developed a high-speed reconnaissance aircraft for the Royal Italian Air Force.

The Ca.127, was built on the basis of the Ca.97 transport aircraft and was a highly mixed aircraft equipped with a 750 hp Isotta Fraschini XIIR engine.

During the tests it became clear that the aircrafts performance was inferior to the aircraft it was meant to replace, as a result, the project was terminated.
