AVIC – Hongdu JL-10 / L-15 Falcon

L15A is a new-generation light attacker fighter trainer for third-generation fighter pilot training, air defence combat and air-to-ground attack.

The aircraft is configured with tandem seats, single vertical fin, all-motion stabilizer tricycle landing gear, large strake, and blended wing-fuselage.

The aircraft is powered by two turbofan engines with full authority digital engine control and equipped with a three-axis quad-redundancy fly-by-wire flight control system and an advanced avionics system based on flexible data bus technology.

L15A features multi-mission capabilities, excellent flight performance, broad operating envelope with high reliability, high safety, good maintainability, long service life and high cost-effectiveness.

L15B is a new generation light multi-functional fighter for air defence combat and air-to-ground attack in day/night condition and lead-in fighter training.

The aircraft adopts tandem seats, single vertical fin, fully movable stabilizer, tricycle landing gear, large strake and blended wing-fuselage design.

The aircraft is powered by two afterburning turbofan engines with full authority digital engine control (FADEC) and equipped with a three-axis quad-redundancy fly-by-wire flight control system and an advanced avionics system based on flexible data bus technology.

L15B aircraft features excellent flight performance, broad flight envelope and significant multi-mission capabilities with high reliability, good maintainability and remarkable cost-effectiveness.

The aircraft features tandem seats, dual engines, side air intake under the wings, a single vertical tail, a full motion horizontal tail, tricycle landing gear configuration, large strake, a blended wing-body, and medium aspect ratio wing with leading-edge saw tooth.

Two turbofan engines are located in the fuselage.
